I tried to watch the whole video but couldn’t....as someone allergic to bees it looked mighty scary even in bee suits 😳. But interesting... as I have wondered how they catch them ...I now know...no amount of epi-pens near by would get me to ever try such a thing! Thanks for sharing!!

There's so many people working on those hives, how many really, really annoyed bees would there be buzzing around by the time they finished ?? Makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end !

Was actually thinking about this a couple of days ago. My sister shakes them into a bucket to do mite checks, so I figured it had something to do with funnels. Never would have imagined the scale of this.

There is a feller in Australia who sends a huge shipment of bees to California every year to pollinate the almond trees. By the end of the season every bee is dead. He said there are no insects in the orchards, no animals, no birds. I think I'd rather go without almonds. And on the midday news today here in Australia- two outbreaks of Varroa mite in bees, first time ever. So now every hive within a huge containment area will be destroyed. Bugger.
claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.

Trim: She probably aborted a while back. That happened to one of my animals. She was bagging up but within a short while of her "due date" she began to deflate. I had no idea what had happened. I was seriously bummed out.
