I have been feeling awful for the past 4 days. Not that I felt great before that, but things have gotten so much worse. I know that you guys on here can set me straight.
I have rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, acid reflux, hypoglycemia, and asthma. I am wheat, soy, seafood, and egg intolerant- (unless the eggs are in something- like cookies.
)I also react to melon, avocado, and nuts. I am currently not on medication for any of my health issues. I take aspirin, Vit C, and D, and folic acid. I know I have hit my stress capacity limit- I am not getting hungry, not sleeping, and am battling depression and anxiety. These are the reasons (excuses) for my bad decisions in the last few days... I totally deserve my misery. Here's what I did to myself:
I have been averaging 4 hours of sleep- except for the one night that I didn't even go to bed at all. I have been making really good dinners, but haven't been eating breakfast (because I feel too sick) and lunch is usually just a snack. The other day I had to take my daughter to school (she usually goes with my mom who teachers at the school- but mom was out of town) and realized when I stopped at the store on the way home that I had been up for 5 hours and hadn't eaten anything- So... I got the only thing that sounded good, to munch on on the way home.... Corn Nuts and Velveta singles. Then I felt super sick. After picking up Sabrina after school we had to stop at Wal-Mart to look for lids for the milk jars (this ONE Wal-Mart is the only place in our area that carries them) and I let her grab a pop for us to share. I don't drink pop, but it sounded really good. I made cauliflower soup and deviled eggs for dinner- and I had some of the eggs. I felt fine after the eggs until about 4 hours later. That night I felt really terrible, achy all over, so tired, and my g.i. tract was complaining. You would think I'd learn my lesson...But no. Yesterday morning I took Sabrina to school, and had a banana as breakfast. I ate nothing else until afternoon I had a piece of toast (GF bread) an another deviled egg ('m a slow learner) and on the way home, I couldn't keep my eyes open.... so we stopped for a pop and French fries. I don't even recognize myself- I don't eat this way! For dinner I made super yummy tomato soup (which has potatoes in it, then it's all blended up- YUM!)and toast, and salad. So, all day yesterday I felt like I had been mauled by a bull, or hit by a truck. I haven't felt this horrible in years.
I know that my horrible RA reactions lately are most likely caused by the stress, lack of sleep, deep fried "foods", tomatoes, and potatoes. But what got me a bit concerned is that I realized that every time I burp it is kinda fizzy, and tasted like yeast. I have recently started drinking a little bit of water kefir as well- before I started feeling crappy. I doubt it is related, but could it be? Do I need to drink more? Or stop all together? Anyone have any idea what I actually did to myself, and how to fix it? It kinda reminded me of that Atuo-Brewery Syndrome. (Though I haven't been drunk. LOL) I was raised in a very conventional family- didn't do things the 'all natural' way, or worry too much about what was passing as food (thus my love for velveta and cheese whiz) We do now- but it's taking me time and necessity to learn all this stuff.... So if you have advice for me, could you please tell me how to take something (does it come in pills? drink it as tea? whatever) and how much. Thanks.
