Last night hubby went to get a new calf for Ms Daisy b/c, we have too much milk and most do not even want it for free. He was late, it was getting darker and Ms Daisy was bellowing, so I though I will do this myself, I have watched several times right, so I know how. so Ms Daisy followed me to the milking stall when I went to clean her, she kicked. I looked for the rope to tie her and it was not tied to the post , so I just sled the rope around her leg and pulled tight...she thought she was tied ;D no more kicks "sigh" It was all very cumbersome attaching the belt around her and getting the milk bucket just so than the goats got in. It took time to get them out so Ms Daisy was done eating way before I got done with the milking. I forgot to put the board behind her too, so when she started to back out, off came a few of the vacs, I grab the board to blocked her leaving and reattached the vacs.
Hoary I did it and when I was done milking, hubby drove up. I was so proud of myself that when hubby came to the barn, I started to cry (OK I cry about anything, commercials, new born babies, frustration, you name it I cry, just so you know) but, I didn't. I simply said "We got milk" I am sure this would have been a really funny video for you all to have watched LOL! Sorry you all missed this! It probably would have made your week! Heck probably would have made your month LOL!!!
Anyways Hubby carried it to the house for me and I was beaming. I just wish it was not so heavy due to my back problems. I would do this everyday. Fun Fun Fun!
