Don't know if this should go here or under Food and Nutrition so feel free to move it if need be. Here's my problem.
Moved to where we are 11 years ago now. Started with terrible dizziness and could only get relief by laying on my right side. Kept going to the doctor when I would have an episode and he would give me a shot of some sort and then some dizzy pills and sometimes antiobiotics. Would help for awhile and then return sometimes within a couple of weeks and then gradually after about three years these episodes quit. In the meantime I found I couldn't hear as well so went to ear, nose, and throat dr. and had testing done. I am profoundly deaf in my left ear now and they said I have had some terrible virus or something by the way my ear looked. Anyway, now after all these years it has returned with avengience. I have done some searching and what can come up with is Meneirs Desease. Does anyone have any experience with this or any homeopathy's out there that can give me some ideas on what I can do to stop the episodes and/or treatment for it? So far I am taking Benadryl, Sudafed, Motrin, Dramamine and a B-6 vitamin. This is what my friend had found on the internet that they suggested. This is just do debilitating that I'm not able to do anything without assistance from my DH. It says episodes can last anywhere from 2 hours to 3 days. Well, this episode started at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning and it is better but I can still not function hardly. DH has been having to do everything. Thank goodness he can be here with me. I do have an appointment to day with the DR so I can hopefully get some immediate relief this go around but am hoping to find somethings I can do to prevent this from happening or lesson the attacks. All help is appreciated. Thanks, Kendra
