I won't bore everyone here with all the details but if you want a full report, you can check it out on my blog.

A summary of my long blog post is:
Sugar has not come in heat since we have had her at either of our two farms. We are hoping this means she is bred. I don't want to biotrack right now because we are working on her timidity issues and I don't want to freak her out in the stanchion. If she did indeed get bred at the last AI attempt, she should be far enough along to palpate soon.
I have not seen Sugar attempt to nurse any of my fresh cows and she has had every opportunity including being present while the calf has been nursing Emmy. I also have not had any drop in milk production to indicate that she might be "sneaking" it.
And finally, we have been training Sugar to the stanchion and she is doing marvelous! Still shy but she will come around with time. She is never agressive and once in the headgate, we can do anything we want. She loves to be brushed and never lifts a foot when we touch her udder. I'm bringing her in twice a day just like I do the cows that I'm milking
I am very encouraged. I just pray she's bred because if she is not, there is obviously a problem there. She is currently in with my little bull Davie. I don't think there's anyway he could reach her to breed her easily but would be a good indication to us that she is back in heat.
Please keep fingers and hooves crossed for us! I certainly don't want to have to beef this girl. She is a great looking heifer and I believe has a lot of potential.
