Emma calved this morning ;D ;D and I missed it! Thank goodness all went well. She had to have calved between 4 and 6ish this morning between checks. I over slept this am and didn't get up til 6:50am. Woke my son up for school and he got around quicker than me and went out to check. He came in saying "when did she do that?" I said "do what", he said " have the calve", I then said " stop joking around you know I don't like you doing that to me" (because he always is, he thinks its funny). So he says " I'm not, there is a calve standing by her". To which I say " well is it alive?" and he says " well mom I said its standing beside her didn't I?" LOL So out I go and sure enough there HE is, still wet. I bet if I wouldn't of over slept I would of been there to see it. So its a bull calve and I think a little bow legged, hope that straightens itself out. I will post pictures this evening as soon as I get home. I am so relieved the waiting is over!

Here we go- introducing Dinner (grandson Hunter named him).
This morning
That is LuLu who has been keeping him company all evening and most of the day.
Sharing the goodness
Helping mom with some of the pressure. YUMMY
He was a good little eater, ate at all 4 teats when we moved him. Poor Emma she is so sore. We milked her and got quit a bit and I am sure she feels better. Dinner isn't shy about getting his dinner at all. We won't be able to let him do that for much longer but for today it was cute LOL. He has such pretty coloring. His legs are almost a mousey color, and he has a beautiful head. The pictures didn't catch that as well as I would of liked. There is always later for more pictures ;D.
I am so thrilled Emma did so good and both are healthy!
