Well, about this time last year I introduced myself on the board, made a few comments, had a pity party, recieved tons of encouragement, and moved away. I have a few times come back on and lurked, but haven't had the time to write. Now I have time...lucky you! ;D
We lived in Hendersonville, NC for almost nine months, and then DH got laid off...don't worry, he got hired the next day, but by a company that doesn't pay for us to go out of town with him. Kinda' stinks, but he is working, and that's a lot these days. He's gone five days a week, oddly, working on the same job (Mission Hospitals, in Asheville, NC), just with a different company.
Anywho, when I left the boards, the plan had been to get two hens. This was what the landlords would let me have. Well, I went to tractor supply, picked out the two healthiest looking ladies in the trough marked "PULLETS", and brought them home. They were big, and loud, and getting exponentially bigger by the day. They were TURKEYS folks!! Now do I sound like a moron or what? Honestly, I'd never seen a turkey poult before, and they were in with two really cute banty pullets (I'm assuming they were pullets, what with the turkey debacle, but I know they were banties, those I've had before) So, no chicken last year. Better luck this year. Enough with the update...
I came here this morning just to do some reading and load up on some inspiration, and the board delivered as usual. So many of the "faces" I remember from last year, and many new interesting people to boot. So "Hey, ya'll" , nice to meet ya'....again.
