Hi! It been awhile since I have been on, I have been meaning to update you on Zoey but every Night I just don't seem to get to it.
Zoey is really well! Full of energy and as loving as ever. ALTHOUGH...monday night she broke out of her pen..and I worried but found her after much searching...at the dairy barn where I work.... Standing beside a Gate with several bulls trying to get to her..and one with her!!!ACK!
I do not believe she was bred. She was not at all willing. Not that it would be a bad thing..ok in a way it would b/c I have a Bull picked out for her. He is a Beef cross. (i cant remember the name but I was told its an exotic Italian beef cow) But his babies are all soooo Itty bitty...I am in love with them! Plus the trait of being all white with black ears and black ink splashed on the lower legs...carries on!
But other than yesterdays excitement Zoey is back to her pampered well mannered self.
The cow problem / question I have is about a young Bull where I work.
He has a huge Hemorrhoid (It looks like one) That comes in and out. I saw it myself today. It first came when The guy I work for attempted to dehorn him.
I have pics but my P.C is not reconizing my camera. But I will post them ASAP!
The Guy I milk for is away but even if he was here I dont think he would involve a vet.
What should I do for this cow..I know it slipping in and out and touching the ground and being pooped on...is an infection risk. It has been this was since Friday. (going in and out)
I will keep trying to get my pics. But I am open to any and ALL advice.
Thanks in advance!
Mandie
