Text, with the changes made in the last few days that cross out the "accepted animal husbandry practices utilized by any person in the care of companion or livestock animals" c2d66864-9c4e-4475-8d58-9a685a26bf17.filesusr.com/ugd/21ab33_44de84044af94542a28830bb359897cb.pdf
"Colorado’s ballot process does not allow any debate on the legality of the proposal or conflict with existing law but rather is a process that assists citizens through a consistent framework to put a measure before the voters. A coalition of livestock organizations, including CCA, are meeting to hire legal counsel to represent opposition positions through the title setting process which will continue through late summer. If the initiative makes it through this process, it will then go to a signature gather followed by being on the 2022 ballot. This is a statutory measure so signatures can be gathered anywhere in the state and need to pass a simple majority." docs.google.com/document/d/1UX4QMrB0LIYilSYzA9LVEOZHEZ3FBF4xCDZMhkMo3Zg/mobilebasic#!

Edit to add: I forgot the part about it not mattering if it conflicts with other animal care laws because this has written in that if it is in conflict with any other than this one take prescinence.
Yes, jaw drop is so right. I can see it passing in todays political climate, though, and/or because so many people know so little about livestock.
