alright so the pigs are getting the cream from two cows. while it's true I fit about ten gallons of milk in my fridge at capacity, the whole "let it sit two day then use a ladle.... well my pigs are getting whole milk.
I'd really like to make butter. I even bought myself this adorable little kilner butter churn for motivation (i'm making a proper butter box to handle a gallon at a go but that's a story for another time) but i just can't do the scoop & save business.
so, since i've got the amount of milk that seems to be required, please help me out. I'm not interested in plastic. but I'm looking at a couple of models that use either "metal" i'm thinking it's aluminium or alloy? or stainless steel, which is what i prefer.
there's this one, which is what i like the look of, it's electric but can also be hand cranked. it's got 22 discs. I've requested a quote & shipping eta... if they wanta couple of hundred I'm keen - does anyone have one of these?

then there's the ukrine/russian one. not the little cheapie plastic one, but the bigger one with the large bowl, and metal etc
i've read good and bad reviews on these guys.

then to throw a spanner in the works, there's these guys, Milky Day, who I really like the look of, except that the only place i can find them is this website and they're insanely priced for what they do. check out the butter box on there - it's literally a box with a paddle, for a cool K...
if the technology (which is simple) is the same, i wonder why these guys are up there in the pricing? even the hand crank baby separator is very $$

so i'd like to hear from someone who HAS ne, and preferrably uses it?
