Well you will be happy to know that I am not posing this as a question but as an answer... Still I would love to know your opinions.
I recently got a new Interpuls pulsator. I have to give it a 5 star rating. My Surge pulsator always gave me some trouble... usually at the worst times. I always got it going again but not without first having to deal with a cow who had already eaten her ration, etc. The new pulsator never fails. I love it.
I also got the silicone inflations that I have coveted for years. Yes they do make a difference. I like being able to see the milk flow and they give a very nice seal on my bigger in the front/smaller in the back cow.
Then as the final upgrade... an unexpected one... I got a new vacuum pump after loaning out my milker and having it come home broken. I found what I thought was a used 1/2 HP Gast pump on craigslist for $400. I needed one ASAP and did not have time to price shop. When I got where I was going it turned out to be brand new still shrink wrapped to the plywood and IT WAS a 1 HP Gast oiless rotary vane pump and motor. I stole all the hardware and gauge off the old pump so the $400 was the total.
If you ever get a chance to get a new pump... this is the one! It is so, so, so much more quiet than the old one... this thing is more quiet than my window unit air conditioner... I can hear the radio over it... I can talk to someone and we can hear each other... I can even use phone! Two thumbs up for new pumps.
Really I had become so disappointed with my milker that I was ready to trade it in... but now I am totally in love with it!
So total for upgrades $560. Peaceful, quiet, happy, stress free milking times... PRICELESS!
