Okay, DH got my pump out of storage and the thing runs perfectly after 17 years LOL. Anyway, it is a babson bros BB2 and there is NOTHING attached to the pump.
Edited after wasting oops, spending the entire morning on the internet not finding much out and just straining my eyes looking at pictures of similar models
On the one end that has vacuum there is a 1.5 male adapter. I am assuming some pipe went up, around in an elbow and to the liquid vacuum control. SOMEWHERE there was a pressure gauge - NO idea where. And absolutely no idea where in the grand scheme of things, the line went to get into the barn - there is only one way to get into the vacuum control and I assume you have to go out of that to the pipeline. . I could be wrong.
On the pictures of the BB1 I have seen there are several fittings to reduce it from 1.5 inches down to the pressure regulator

Then out of the top of the regulator, I am assuming there is a female end for a pressure gauge. . Is this right??
Then on the other end of the tank, at the very bottom there is another screw in plug that I had not noticed til I looked at pictures of somebody else's surge pump which is NOT this model. BUT they have a stop cock valve screwed in there and the vacuum line 1/2 inch that hooks up to their actual milk machine. Does these even sound remotely close? the exhaust also 1.5 inches which has nothing on it. Do I have to have something on the exhaust line - there are mufflers, silencers etc, but an extra $50. I have seen reverse valves for exhaust so you don't get anything in and maybe that is all I need?
Where does an inline filter go in all of this??
Does anybody have a diagram of some type for something similar? A better picture?
THank you!
Heather
