This morning I fed all the dogs (they all get raw), then went to check the weather on the computer. When I came back, Rich was sitting at the dining room table, still trying to wake up, and I saw that Becca, our Lab mix, was standing by the door with her head down. All I could see was her butt (the end table next to the couch was blocking my view of her front end). I asked Rich how long she'd been there (thinking she probably wanted to go outside), when I suddenly heard a "noise." Kind of like GLUUGGGGG... So I jumped up to see if she'd just barfed up all her breakfast and saw that it was only half of it, but as I was approaching her, up came the rest. Lovely. On the carpet, of course...
Cody, who is constantly starving because I'm a MEAN MOMMY and I NEVER feed him enough (oh, boy, are you fallin' for this line?) was right behind me. Becca went on down the stairs to the door, so I let her out and when I turned around, Cody was greedily gobbling up all of Becca's meat.
I figured it would be better for him to clean it up than me, so I just left him to it, and then came back with some paper towels to wipe up the "spit" that was left. Oh, ugh. I guess it doesn't matter to animals where their food has been, but it very much bothered ME to have to see that! Gack! So Cody the Starving Doberman (who has NO ribs, in case anyone was wondering) got TWO breakfasts this morning. He was a very happy boy!
The sad part was that when I let Becca back in the house, she came bouncing up the stairs and sniffed ALL OVER looking for her missing breakfast! Too bad, Becca, you had your chance, now you'll just have to be hungry until tomorrow! LOL!
