"They were on sale -- CLEARANCE sale!"
Nope, he'll never believe that one.
"Those old things, gosh they've been here forever, you must just not have noticed them"
Nope, that one won't work either.
"But Honey, they followed me home!"
(And it's true, that trailer followed right behind that truck the whole way!)
Actually, I made a deal with Fonnie to help her sell some animals. I'm buying a couple of them myself, but some of them will be posted for sale shortly (after pregnancy testing)
Candace
Candace is a Mini Belted Galloway, 4-1/2 years old, should be bred to Son of Fat Louie.
(Baby) Sparkle and her 12 day old heifer calf, Cookie/Gem (haven't decided yet).
Sparkle is 3/4 Mini Jersey, 1/4 White Park, 3 years old, and the Native Pure heifer calf is sired by Son of Fat Louie, The calf was 21-1/2" at the hip at 10 days, I can lift her in one arm.
(Baby) Precious
Precious is Mid-sized, Foundation Pure, polled, 5-1/2 years old, should be bred to Son of Fat Louie.
Precious is the mother of Elvis, the newest bull that Fonnie has retained.
(Baby) Bessie
Bessie is Foundation Pure, polled, 17 months old, and should be bred to Elvis.
Here she is standing next to 9 month old Mika.
And here's a picture of Elvis,
I'm buying Bessie, but I'm so torn on which other one to choose.
I just LOVE that little heifer calf, but she IS a half-sister to Mika (same sire).
Precious is just, well, precious! She's real sweet. She reminds me so much of Janene's Dolly when Dolly was that age. She throws very small calves.
Sparkle will be sold after the calf is weaned, she's rebred, and broke to milk. (When you look real close at her dots, and play "connect the dots" I swear, it spells out J-A-N-E-N-E!)
And the Beltie, I don't know, but DH really likes her, and we do have to keep DH happy.
