I have a rash on my hands that has been there since last summer. Two different docs said it was from washing my hands too much. I pretty much don't wash my hands at all anymore since it has gotten so bad. I wear gloves for everything to avoid getting them dirty. I tried tea tree oil and colloidal silver in the beginning but it just got worse. Doc gave me a high powered steroid cream that helped a very little bit. I tried an otc antifungal and it went away almost completely, but as soon as I stop using it comes back. I finally started using a prescription antifungal my mil gave me...she had leftovers. It is really working. I really think this is a yeast infection. It's mostly between my fingers. But I'm sure it will come back when I'm done with the cream.
What do I do? It's driving me crazy. I rarely if ever eat white sugar. I do eat bread, but not in excess. I did notice that when it went away the last time, I made bread and didn't use gloves to knead and it came back fiercely...which is why I think it's yeast.
Also, when I first got it a few things had changed. One, it was gardening season and I had contact with soil. Two, I had stopped eating yogurt because our cow freshened and I had the raw milk so I didn't think I needed yogurt as well. I was buying it and didn't have time to make any then. And three, I had just started making my own bread.
Is yogurt actually necessary for fighting yeast if I have the beneficial bacteria from raw milk? I have tried taking acv but it gave me such bad instant heartburn that I'm afraid to try it again.
I would so appreciate any ideas. I don't want to be using antifungal creams for the rest of my life.
