Oh wise and knowledgeable ones, I need some assistance!
My right knee, the back of it is been hurting awful bad the past couple of weeks to the point of waking me up several times a night. It's either a tendon or a ligament (or both??), on the backside (outer tendon/ligament) of the knee--right where the knee bends. It hurts no matter if its straight, or bent....there is no "comfortable" position. It's not swollen, and doesn't look any different.
Now, this is my "good" knee....my other one I have issues with from time to time, due to horse accidents when I was a teenager. (Thank goodness it is holding up....for now anyhow!)
But this is throwing me for a loop. I didn't trip or fall, or have done anything different (outside of what is "normal" for me) that I can think of.
I can't take Ibuprofen--it makes me barf. I've only been taking generic Tylenol at night to help me sleep. (But have been taking a couple more the past couple of nights in the middle of the night when the other dose wears off....) Ben gay type of stuff doesn't really seem to help, either.
It aches, and will actually twitch, I can feel it clear down into my foot and toes. It seems to feel better if I am doing "normal" things...using it still hurts, but not as bad as say, when you sleep and aren't using it.
I have upped my Vit E usage....but I'm not sure what I'm trying to "treat"! Suggestions, ideas of what it could be?

PS I'm glad no one video tapes me sitting on and getting off the milkstool the past week or so....good thing my cow is patient and chilled out!! HA!!
