Well, I told the lady I want Mocha, the cow I wrote about earlier last week (with pics). She's a dexter/jersey cross. I decided to go look at her again this evening as she's not HERE yet.
Her "lily" is mushy looking and for some reason, that big, round belly she had last week seems to have gone south... her sides just aren't as puffed out as much any more..it's like it dropped to the bottom or something. She's kinda "hanging". She hasn't bagged up any more however. We couldn't get super close to her again, of course. I also didn't have my camera with me for pics. Bummer! Now, her 'lily' wasn't all puffed out, it just looked mushy. OH! And after all those pics of pins and tail heads..I wish WISH I'd had the camera with me! Compared to the other cow there, she looked like she had issues! Her hip bones up near her tail were just sticking up somethin' fierce and her tail ...I do think if I coulda touched her, I probably could've put my entire hand around her tail on her rump almost! I really, REALLY think she's going to calve soon. Part of me wishes she were already HERE so we could be part of it and another part of me says, "keep her there till the deed is done!!" so I don't have to worry and fret over it. IT being a baby, I HOPE!
Ok...either way, she's coming home to me soon. We're working on dividing the field in half. YIPEE!

Oh yeah, edited to add info that I got on her:
"Mocha the Dexter Cow" Her birth date was 11/20/04. Pedigree: It has Mocha (red) and her father PRM Frederick Reg. dun Dexter bull; and her mother, Amber (jersey) tan. The pedigree was for her first calf, Ellie, a Jersey/Dexter female born 5/09/06. Hamburger was born 6/20/07 and the next, her third calf, is due any time.
That's all info. I got from the current owner.
