Hi Ladies,
Well...my pregnancy test came back negative....
So...now that my doctor has essentially given me a shrug in trying to help me figure out what's going on, I'm going to turn to the most knowledgeable people I know like I should have to start!
After 8 years of not getting pregnant(my husband and I neither tried, not tried to avoid the issue), I talked to my doctor who sent me to a specialist. Oct 26 I had my first AI procedure done(no fertility meds...we're both fine, but there's an oddity about my cervix that, while it won't cause delivery problems, rather closes the door on natural conception).
So...my period after the AI is late...I take home tests...three of them, all negative. I start, sorta, five days late.
I keep track of everything on a calendar, so I thought it was rather weird when my period was due, and again, I'm late.
This pattern continued in December, and January.
Prior to this, I had a cycle as regular as clockwork. 28 days, on the nose, sometimes down to the hour. No easing into it, just, BAM, it here, and goes for 8-10 days, cramps, naseau
Up until the one that just started this morning, they haven't been normal. Short, not as heavy, lagging to start and so on.
So. Now I know that I'm not pregnant...but what else is going on? I can't figure out why I would go from a 28 day cycle to cycles 5-7 days longer.
I intend to start with my ovulation tests again after this ones done since I know that I'm not(we held off over the holidays...just too much going on!)..but now I don't know what my cycle is!
Any ideas?
