Ok, in Nourishing Traditions, it mentions that a lack of Vit B6 (pyridoxine) has been linked with morning sickness. Good sources are: Raw milk! Raw liver, raw milk cheeses, meat and fish.
And in Adelle Davis' "Lets Have Healthy Children" it also states that vit B6 is very important and suggests a supplement of 10-25 mg every hour or two for a day or longer to stop nausea, along with tiny amts of food which supply protein with natural starch or sugar-a few sips of eggnog sweeteened with honey, or bites of a chicken sandwich on whole wheat bread. (sidenote-I took the advice of the ladies on the board and ate a chunk of cheese, or a piece of chicken, and a glass of milk before bed, and it really helped me when I was pregnant with my Tabitha!) and then, once morning sickness is stopped a minimum of 10 mg daily. She mentions that B6 is also found in yeast. She also mentions some severe cases need a shot of 250 mg B6 to stop the vomiting.
Do you have a library close by? I practically live at ours! My $15.00 library card is one of the most frugal things I do, and it is soo wonderful! The librarians tell me I'm one of the few patrons who hits the "100 book at a time maximum"! But there is always something new to learn! When I get interested in something I take out as many books as I can find on that topic! So they tease me everytime it looks like I'm on a new topic! Recently, it was beekeeping (we're getting some this year!) and sock knitting! (it was so empowering to learn how to knit on 5 needles-I've been knitting on 2 since my grandma taught me when I was quite young, but was intimidated by more!).
Also-I use ebay, and a lot of the used book places (amazon, abebooks, etc) to get books that I know I must have!
