I recently lost my Jersey cow to a freak injury. After more than a month without a milk cow, I brought home Roxie. She's a registered Guernsey heifer who calved 2 months ago. She's recently been through some hard times. She's thin, with patchy hair loss, and is only giving about 2 gallons a day. Before she came to AZ she was shown by her breeder, so she's wonderfully calm and social. I really love her personality, but getting pictures is hard because she always tries to be as close as possible to me.
So happy you were able to find another cow, and one in milk at that! Sorry about your cow that died, though. I sure hate to think about Katy Kow's end, whatever it might be............

She is a beautiful girl and if you can't get away from her to get a picture taken she sounds like a real good find.

claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.

alpacalexi: My mini jersey cow is pregnant, however the last couple days her udder has deflated. My vet saw her on the 23 and said delivery in a couple weeks Is there a reason for her deflating?

Trim: She probably aborted a while back. That happened to one of my animals. She was bagging up but within a short while of her "due date" she began to deflate. I had no idea what had happened. I was seriously bummed out.
