So yesterday hubby and I were out having lunch for our wedding anniversary and we get the message one of our pet rabbits has suddenly died. We were upset but decided to finish our lunch then sort it out.
Well when we got home 2 hours later she wasn't dead, she is completely paralysed. Rushed her off to the vet and he isn't sure what's going on, says she is too young for a stroke. So 24 hours later there is no improvement, she is now not even blinking, and we have no idea what happened.
Decided to give her to tomorrow afternoon to show some change either way before we have her put down, but I really don't want to have to put her down 😭
Oh weasle... I know how much your bunnies mean to you... I'm so so sorry. Please don't beat yourself up. Likely there was nothing you could have done. She's past it now, and, I'd like to think, in bunny Heaven. Lots of clover and alfalfa...burrows to hide in, a brook to drink from. Sending you big hugs. Big big hugs.

So sorry for your loss, weasle. We lost one once in a similar situation, no one was completely sure what happened, but she was paralyzed and then passed away shortly after. She wasn't very old either. Hugs to you!!

When I was about 10 I had a beautiful silver fox rabbit - she was about three or four years old when I found her dead in her hutch one day with a broken neck. She used to like to tear around her hutch kicking her heels high up in the air - and we figured she must have kicked too high and fallen and broken her own neck. I wonder if something like that happened to your bunny? So sorry for your loss

claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.

alpacalexi: My mini jersey cow is pregnant, however the last couple days her udder has deflated. My vet saw her on the 23 and said delivery in a couple weeks Is there a reason for her deflating?

Trim: She probably aborted a while back. That happened to one of my animals. She was bagging up but within a short while of her "due date" she began to deflate. I had no idea what had happened. I was seriously bummed out.
