My brother asked If I would post and see if anyone would like to join a new seed train for 2016. He really enjoyed the last 2 that went around and wanted to do it again.
Just as a refresher here are the rules reposted from the first one the Cowgirl4Christ posted:
RULES:
1. All seed train members will need to supply me with name and address, which will be on the list enclosed in the seed envelope.
2. Everyone needs to ship it with tracking.
4. Please package seeds in paper envelopes or Ziploc baggies, again, to save on weight and postage.
5. All seeds are welcome, from commercial packages to home saved, hybrid or OP, although many HT members have a preference for open pollinated and/or heirloom seeds. I do ask that if you are sending older seeds, that you germination test them to make sure they are viable, and let the other members know the germination rate. Not much more frustrating than planting seeds that CAN’T grow.
6. Keep an eye on the thread and especially when it is nearing your stop. The previous stop will be contacting you when they receive the box, and after 2 days, will skip you if you have not responded to a PM. It wouldn’t hurt to PM the person before you when you see they are about to get the box, just to let them know you are at the same address and will be watching for the box.
7. Post when you get the box, then (if they haven’t contacted you first), PM the next person on the list to verify address and that they are ready to receive the package. If you do not hear from them in 2 days, skip them and go to the next name on the list to verify with them.
8. If you need to skip someone, let me know and I will try to contact them. I will add them back in somewhere down the list, if possible and if the person still wishes to participate.
9. Please try to send the box on as quickly as possible, within a week at most.
10. Post again when you’ve shipped the box and post the tracking number so all the members of the train can watch its progress. It adds to the fun when you can see it getting closer to your stop!
11. Take as much as you would like from the box and replace with a like amount of seed.
