We've decided it would be best to get our second Akbash now, this year, before we lose Jasper as the old mentor, and while Maggie is still young enough to help him work off his play energy. We also don't have many chickens right now (just a bunch of noisy roosters) and just the one horse and Molly the heifer, so it would be a good time to bring in a puppy. I called Maggie's breeder, and she has three short-coated boys that are ready to go now, so we're planning to drive up there and get one on Sunday afternoon.
I want our new boy to have a strong, noble (not silly) name. When we first see him, he's going to be a cute little bundle of puppy, and it'll be hard to think of a good, brave, strong name when he looks like that. I'm trying to think of a name BEFORE we get him, so I don't get sidetracked, calling him Baby or Peanut or some other baby name. The other problem is we have 21 cats, all with names, so we want to find something that doesn't sound too much like any of the cats' names, either.

Rich was thinking either Ringo or Caesar, but those were just the ones he came up with first. I could live with either one, I guess, but I was hoping if I asked here, some of you might think of something really good that we wouldn't think of. So how about it? Any ideas? He's going to end up being 120 to 130 pounds, white, square strong muzzle and be fearless, loyal, and brave. I do NOT want his name to be Baby, LOL!
Whatever his name ends up being, I'm glad that Maggie will have a fit partner to help her in her duties. She's been doing all of it now, since she graduated from Jasper's exclusive LGD training school, and she's going to be overworked once we have more chickens, a calf, etc. Right now her workload is light, but she doesn't take it any less seriously. She is one serious guardian dog, and I couldn't be happier. Unless I had TWO serious guardian dogs. So let's hear your ideas, please?
