Welcome to the forum nathanjay. I won't comment on your petting the bull as it sounds like you learned a lot from that. Thank you for asking that question, and for posting that video. That may some day save a life. Any time one of my bulls does that he is either reminded to be nice, and if the warning is not headed by him then he is either sold, or sent for processing for our freezer. I just sent a 2.5 year old bull off to be processed because he was challenging me like your video. He wasn't just politely backing up, he was head tossing, and bucking around me. Time to go! I have a zero tolerance for that kind of behavior.
Just when I think I know everything about cows, my girls let me know that I don't know anything!

DanMa glad you weren't hurt worse by that bull. Our bulls have never behaved that way. Worse I've had from a bovine is a bare foot stepped on when a teen and last November my first calver kicking and leaning on me. She's a really good little cow now.
claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.

alpacalexi: My mini jersey cow is pregnant, however the last couple days her udder has deflated. My vet saw her on the 23 and said delivery in a couple weeks Is there a reason for her deflating?
