scfarmchick I have the same issue as you with very high SCC but only one quarter has ever had off milk. No temp, no redness or swelling. I'm sending off for a culture as soon as more collection tubes come in. I only ordered 5 for the first test, not thinking the results were going to be what they were. I'm following for your test results.
Homesteading momma to 3 awesome kiddos and recently added a 5 year old Holstein named Abby and a 3 month old Holstein heifer we call Lulu. Along with so many chickens, ducks and pigs!
How long does it typically take for culture results to come back?
SCC is a very fast test, so if you just got that, it could be another day or two to get the culture results back. Hopefully they'll send them to you today. Will be very interesting to see what they come back with!

It's my understanding that staph a comes and goes. Testing two days in a row can yield different levels even. Others more in the know will chime in soon. I've not dealt with it first hand. The pooling may have diluted the sample as well if only 2 of the 4 quarters are infected.
