I gave my show steer 5 ml sub q of an 8 way vax in May or June last year and he still has a tennis ball size lump there. I already put a needle in a few different places to see if it was an abcess and nothing came out. It is very painful and he does not want it touched, turns agressive if you do. He acts 100% fine otherwise and it doesnt bother him unless I mess with it.
I have the same thing on my bull, because his neck is too wide to go in my crush, I just pulled the skin up on his neck,he has 2 lumps there from his booster jab and his vibrovax, his has not gone down and is painful for him too, he is due for this year vacs but I'm not sure what to do about it. So I'm of no help to you evergreenangus
If it has been months and it is painful, I would take to the vet so they can put him in the squeeze chute and lance that thing. If it wasn't painful and smaller I would not worry but that big amd painful screams abscess.
