I have been on the edge of the buy it cliff since the Instant Pot discussion started, moving closer an inch at a time. My daughters snuck up behind me and pushed me over the edge for Mother's Day. They said they couldn't take hearing me talk about it any more. The 8 quart model is in the cart at Amazon.
My mother is getting one from us sisters as well. It turns out that she's been bidding on one on ebay for over a month and someone keeps coming in and beating her by a dollar. Her birthday is coming up, so it is a perfect gift for the woman who is impossible to buy for.

There are so many youtube vids and Pintrest recipes that I've never opened the cookbook. I'm like you... I watch or read it then go in the kitchen a put it together my way.
I basically buy books for the apocalypse, I guess.

I have 20 or more cook books ,I like the old ones before instant food , I use them for ideas Suzanne
2 children Steven and Leila permitted 006 RCM Dairy Ginger the 2014 Jersey/Highlander/Angus/Hereford Paprika Gingers 2018 Mini Me Puss an Boots Gingers Hereford sired twin Heifers Cookie 3/4 jersey 1/4 Hereford 2017 heifer Sissy 3 year old pure Jersey cow Emmy a Galiceno pony and the ever changing bottle calves
So, what are the must-have accessories for this. I've added the glass lid to the cart already.
Is a cookbook necessary? Mind you, I am a person who reads the recipe and then does what I want, so a recipe is really only an idea generating guideline.
Someone suggested the extra seal so you have two - one for sweet and one for savory. I got an extra set cause her description of cheesecake that tasted like beef stew just = yuck. I also got a covered insert to make cheesecakes in Did I mention that I LOVE cheesecake

Hah! I clicked on this thread thinking it was going to say you were getting a NEW MILK COW for Mother's Day!!! Oh, well, I guess the Instapot will be fun, too. Ya'll are tempting me 'way too much with all your stories about the yummy food you can make in one!!!
Wife to the Greatest Husband Ever, Mother of Three Awesome Daughters, Mother-in-Law to Two Amazing Sons-in-Law, The Most Precious Grandson and Granddaughter Ever, Rancher/"Zoo-Keeper" of Hereford Cattle, Angora Goats, Remuda of Horses, Two Border Collies, One Mini-Aussie, A Duke's Mixture of Chickens, Seven Ducks (Rouen), and One Sweet Mini-Jersey named Katy Kow!
Except that I used GF pasta and didn't have Italian sausage on hand so just used more pepperoni, and I didn't have pizza sauce so I used more spaghetti sauce. I was skeptical that dinner could be made in 15 minutes start to finish. It was impressive. The entire family liked it! I'm going to enjoy this immensely.
Did you do same time with gf noodles? I haven't tried a noodle dish as we only eat noodles once a year, but it looks so nice and Carby when I'm feeling sick
I did use the same time and I think it was good at that time. The recipe calls for the noodles, sauce, and water. Stir it together and put it on 5 minutes on high, and vent it. When I pulled the lid off it was still boiling and looked way to wet, but I stirred and stirred. Some of the pasta was stuck to the bottom, and I thought my first dish was going to be a failure. Not so. I was able to stir get it off, and it all came together with a bit of stirring. The pasta absorbed the extra liquid after I added the cheese and pepperoni and let it sit. I thought clean up would be a bear because of all the cheese, but it was a snap.
Is there a page for Instant Pot recipes? Cheesecake mentioned above...yum, and all of the others?

claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.
