Recently dunderi posted a link to this super cheap milk machine. There was a lot of talk about these cheap Chinese models and all their pitfalls, which I'm sure are deserved but...
I realized I own this exact milker and my experience with it, while brief, was pretty good.
Backstory: Last year I bought this when Poppy was first fresh. She gets so much edema that the Surge belly milker I use daily will not cover all four teats at one time. I used it for a month and then put it up, but thought it a really great deal for the $200 I paid for it. I did not think to use it this time when she freshened and again struggled with milking the fronts, then backs, with the belly milker...
So I went and got it out of the cupboard. First I wanted to be sure it was the EXACT model and it is, I have the paperwork still. So I fired it up for a quick run. Pressure in the bucket came right up. I ran a bucket of cleaning solution and some rinse water with sanitizer through the hoses and here is what I found.
The pulsator ticked right on and was in proper timing. It's an L80
The seamless 304 Stainless was not pitted or rusted. After over a year in a cupboard in my barn.
The inflations were soft and in good serviceable shape.
The hoses were flexible, without leaks and look and smell just like what I got from Hamby when I built a goat milker from a Surge bucket.
The gasket was pliable and sealed fine. It's kinda fancy (and food grade) so I'd be sure you could get a replacement somewhere if you might wear yours out.
Everything smelled fresh.
So I milked with it. And it worked just fine. There was some question that the claw can not be taken apart for cleaning but it indeed can.
If funds are limited I would definitely recommend this machine at the $129 with free shipping price... heck, I feel like I got a good deal for $200... I paid more than this for a replacement pulsator, adapter, and some rubber inflations to update my belly milker @ partsdeptonline.com
