Hi all.
So i know I'm going to get alot of "I told you so" out of this thread, but I don't care anymore..This past week as been extemely hard for Annabelle, Ginny, Mady, me, and my family. I don't rightfully know how to write this down, so I'll just go day by day.
Friday, January 23: Annabelle is happy and healthy, went for a walk, practiced 4H with her, she ate all her food, all seems normal.
Saturday, January 24: Annabelle didn't come up to get her food, which was not normal, went to find her and found her lieing in the shade struggling for breathe. Felt her nose, and ears, it was obvious she has a fever. I brought food and water to her, but she refused to eat. I took her temperature and it read 105.9. We emediatly loaded her up and rushed her to the vet. The vet said she had pneumonia extremely bad and wasn't sure if she'd make it through the next few days. She gave her a shot of Draxxin and a shot of Banamine. I spent thr night in the barn with her and her fever went down to a normal mark at 2 AM.
Sunday, January 24: Her fever came back up but she is up, and eating and drinking. We tryed to give her the shot of Banamine that the vet sent us home with, but failed. We tryed to inject it, but it all came back out.
Monday, January 25: We went into the vet and got more Banamine for Annabelle. Successfully injected it. Her fever went down. We also had a scheduled appointment to bring Ginny and Madison into the vet to get eight way vaccines and for Madsion to get her brucellosis shot. We did so.
Tuesday, January 26: No change with Annabelle. Ginny nor Madison came up to food. they both were running temperatures. We went into the vet and got Draxxin and Banamine for them both. Fevers went down.
Wenesday, January 27: Ginny looks fine, fever never came back up. Madison is still sickly looking and her ear tag from the Brucellosis shot is infected. We treated her.. Not much change with Annabelle, stopped pacing around her stall though.
Thursday, January 29: (I know I got the dates wrong, sorry) went and fed Ginny and Madison, Ginny is perfectly fine but Madison still has a temperature.
Then it happened. I went down to the barn to check/feed Annabelle. I look into her make shift stall and saw that she had given birth to a little heifer prematurely. She was still born. (She must've died from Annabelle being so sick, than Annabelle aborted her) Annabelle was extremely sick at this point, and couldn't breath at all. We buried her calf and the after birth. I went up to the house to do school (after I spent lots of time with her) and about an hour later, my mom came rushing into tje house saying Annabelle was bleeding out of her nose.. I watched her struggle with every breath she took, and I knew she was bleeding internally from calving, she also couldn't use the restroom. I prayed so hard, but I knew the right decision was to put her down. So on Thursday January 29, 2015, We humanly uthanized my dear Annabelle. .
RIP Annabelle. 4/20/13--1/29/15

sorry if I make no sense. I'm trying....
