Here's the back story...We've been having a heck of a time getting Clover bred. The first time we Aid her was 5/31/11 and we thought she aborted on 7/3 because she had a significant bleed off. Since then, we have AID her 3 times as she appeared to come into heat right on schedule each cycle. The last AI we bred her twice...9/17 and then 9/18. I have been feeling quite confident that this AI stuck because she only had one minor heat like episode and nothing since then. That would make her just over 2 months bred.
She has been having issues with erratic eating and low milk production for a few weeks now ( I am convinced she is drying herself off). I sat with her this morning trying to coax her into eating her grain...unsuccessfully...though she did eat all of her hay. I was petting her and I noticed her stomach moving and rolling alot on her right side. She was burping quite a bit and then manured. At first I thought...maybe it was gas. But it continued on and on...I placed my hand there and I swear it's a calf moving. It was right in the triangle area in front of her hip.
That couldn't be possible if she were just over 2 months bred...could it?? I would think the calf would just be too small to be able to be seen and felt moving. She even bled off with each cycle ( except this last one) Is it possible that she stuck way back in May?? Wouldn't the breeder have been able to tell that?
Would anything else cause her to have a visible rolling, moving area in her stomach??? Could it be a stomach issue and not a calf?? I do have a bio tracking kit that I was planning to do after Thanksgiving when my DH could be here to help me get the blood draw.
I'm so confused!! I'm just worried...because of all her eating issues that it could be something else.
