alot of you wanted to know how i when from one jersey to 20 so i made this new thread.....it was like they fell from the sky most the time 2 at a time bessie my other best cow i bought when she was 6 with her 3 year old daughter i have bought quite a few that didnt work out also.......but i know this much when you see one you must buy it right then with out taking a deep breath...because if you do some one else has bought them btw i also have i think 7 baby heifer calfs and 2 bulls that are jersey and 7 baby holstiens with a few holstien /jersey crosses............when i was buying all these jerseys it was a funny story i asked a man in a store if he knew of anybody with jersey milk cows for sale and the guy behind him said i sure do there a guy down on k hwy thats got a bunch of them with all those i am sure he has some for sale........funny thing is my farm is the one on k hwy.....get the picture and none of mine are for sale....i have send pictures of my milk cows to midgemoo and some to douthouhavemilk......i lso bought one from dthm that she got from the school herd...i drove 516 miles to get her also....just here and there when you least expect it one will show up.......john......will post more picture if you want ...btw elsie is a 5 year old and i have her since she was 150 pounds..she leads and can be milked anywhere as with most of my cows.......my mother was great with cows...she was the one that always traded our good cow for someone else 2 bad cows....then she would train them to be milked and sell one to a friend and then trade that one for 2 more cows always the right place and with the right cow.......once she traded a cow for a cow and got boot of a 2 wheel trailer and a 4 wheel cotton trailer which she sold... so i guess it runs in the family... john
