Galaxy, the Jersey/Holstein cross that I sold a year and a half ago, was just dropped off to be bred, along with her 15 month old 3/4 Jersey heifer, Sweet Violet.
I had kicked myself real hard for selling Galaxy, especially since she had went on to have a heifer, but after seeing the heifer, I'm not kicking myself quite so bad now! She IS an absolutely beautiful heifer, but she looks all Holstein. And she's tall, at 15 months of age, she's every bit as tall as her mother.
claytonpaul: A bull was put on her herd Late Last May so she was expected to be due between May1 and August. They quoted me August so I wouldn't be disappointing by a late arrival.
