Pester Barbara Kingsolver to get started with a cow. So far there remains a cow sized hole in her writing.

I have a copy I'll try to bring Sat. I'll see if I can find it and put it into the van now. The only thing I didn't like about it is how she alluded to a link between creationism and a movement away from the land and evolution as a means to bring us back. Anyhow, you can have this copy if I find it, I got it for $1 or less at a yard sale.

*edited to be more specific, p.11: " The same disconnection from natural processes may be at the heart of our country's shift away from believing in evolution." (Perhaps this author didn't realize that prior to the 1960's most of the world believed in a creation of some sort, coincidentally, most of the world was also very agriculturally minded.) This type of unfortunate statement tends to make me skeptical of other ideas presented by an author. Thankfully there's still a baby in spite of the bathwater;).
